It is being reported that around a week ago the U.S. carried out a cyberattack against an Iranian military ship. The ship was alleged to have been gathering intelligence for the Houthi rebels in Yemen who have been firing missiles and drones at cargo ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, by providing targeting information to the Houthis for their attacks on the ships.
An Iranian ship named the MV Behshad and another ship whose name was not disclosed were said to have been cyberattacked. U.S. officials typically do not disclose covert operations, including cyberattacks, and have not publicly released information about the one involving the suspected Iranian spy ship.
