WWSMC '13 will join forces with the Global Wireless Summit (GWS) which combines 3 other global conferences along with WWSMC: the Wireless Vitae (European), the Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications Symposium (Asian), and PRISMS, the International Conference on Security and Privacy in Mobile Information and Communication Systems (European). This international conglomerate of forces will bring high-tech companies and give an economic boost to the storm-ravaged coast of New Jersey. "The decision to host the GWS conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey this year came with remembrance to the suffering that recently took place in the area," said Dr. Parag Pruthi, NIKSUN's Founder, Chairman, & CEO. "After watching the devastation of our coast and the city of Atlantic City in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the opportunity to bring fresh perspectives in cybersecurity as well as an economic boost to the area felt like the right thing to do." WWSMC '13 will take place at the Bally's Hotel, drawing hundreds of attendees and their families from around the world to the area.

World Wide Security and Mobility Conference brings together thought leaders and experts from different aspects of the security and mobile ecosystem. The World Wide Security & Mobility Conference (WWSMC) discusses and examines new approaches to address today's ever-growing cybersecurity threats. The conference includes global industry leaders, security and mobility experts, government officials, and academics.

World Wide Security and Mobility Conference speakers provide a "big picture" view of the cybersecurity and mobility challenges that lie ahead, while laying the groundwork for some serious problem solving -- crossing boundaries, eliminating silos, and "connecting the dots" across the cybersecurity spectrum.

The World Wide Security and Mobility Conference addresses these issues:

  • Cybersecurity problems are serious, and rapidly expanding in terms of sophistication, overall damage, and frequency of attack.

  • Current methods for detecting and preventing these attacks rely too heavily on signature files, blacklists, and other outdated methods that are constrained in their reliance on known problems – methods that are destined to be inadequate.

  • A new approach is needed, combining real time behavioral analysis with the ability to store incoming and outgoing packets for forensic analysis, in order to determine what happened, when it happened, where it happened, and how it happened, and quickly isolate the threat.
