2nd Class Action Filed Against Mr. Cooper For Data Breach
A second class action lawsuit has been filed over a data breach involving the financial services company Mr. Cooper.
The breach impacted nearly 15 million customers and the suit alleges information was leaked that would allow malicious actors to "fraudulently open new financial accounts, take out loans, obtain medical services, gain government benefits or file fraudulent tax returns."
The class action is being brought because the plaintiffs believe the firm did not do enough to protect the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) that would allow these incidents to perpetrate. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
