Ascension is investigating a suspected cyberattack on Wednesday. The healthcare network said it detected “unusual activity” on select technology network systems and responded immediately by initiating an investigation and activating remediation efforts.

Access to some systems has been interrupted as the security event caused a disruption to clinical operations. The hospital system said it is assessing the attack's impact and how long it would last as their business partners have been asked to temporarily suspend their connection to the Ascension environment.
