Multiple Iranian Banks Struck by Significant Cyberattack
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) as well as many other banks in Iran have been struck by a significant cyberattack. The attack comes a day after, Iran's Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned the country about threats of irregular warfare due to the escalation with Israel.
Iranians reported ATM failures and error messages when attempting to withdraw money. The country’s last major cyberattack targeted Iran's fuel infrastructure, with Tehran blaming the US and Israel.
