The backbone of Iran's national infrastructure has come under a massive cyberattack. Every form of government including Iran’s Legislature, Judiciary, and the Executive has also been subjected to a cyberattack. The speculation is that Israel may be behind this attack, as a retaliation against Iran’s missile assault on October 1.
In addition to this, Iran's communication system, financial system, and military communication have shut down as a result of the cyber offensive. Firouzabadi, a former secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council of Cybersecurity, said that important information has also been stolen as a result. He further noted that Iran's nuclear facilities, along with crucial networks for fuel distribution, municipal services, transportation, and ports too have been subject to the cyberattack.
