After cybercriminals listed two stolen databases for sale which covered more than 19 million customers on a cybercrime forum from Free, the second-largest internet service provider in France, the company confirmed it had been cyberattacked this weekend by hackers who targeted an internal management tool.
The Paris-based company filed a criminal complaint with the country’s public prosecutor and notified France’s cybersecurity agency. They have issued a notification to the public that personal data associated with the accounts of certain subscribers has been compromised. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
