The US Air Force is planning to roll out a new more robust cloud-based cybersecurity system for identifying, tracking, and abating potential cyber threats with software- and hardware-based sensor platforms. The new system called Integrated Defensive Cyberspace System (IDCS) is intended to replace the Cyberspace Vulnerability Assessment/Hunter (CVA/H) and the Operations Platform Fly Away Kits (IOP-FAK).
The new system allows data sharing through the cloud which enables airmen from different bases to exchange sensitive information regarding cyber threats.
