Duke Energy has announced it has been hit by a data breach that could impact over 8 million customers. In response, Duke is offering eligible clients 12 months of free credit monitoring.
According to WFTV9, “Some of the data that may have been obtained by an unauthorized third party could include account details such as utility account number, date of birth, email address, name, property and/or mailing address, meter number, phone number, last four digits of Social Security numbers for residential customers, and the last four digits of federal tax IDs for businesses.” Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
