In Colorado, the entire Aurora Public School District has been without the internet or phone service since Monday. On that day, when employees observed potentially suspicious activity on their network, the school district officials worked quickly to protect its systems as a precaution and are still trying to bring back internet and phone systems.

This prolonged internet outage raises safety concerns for families and staff. Parents stay worried as they are not able to communicate with their children’s school. School officials too remain concerned as they are not able to let parents know about their children in case of an emergency, nor contact security and support services.
