Over 1 Million Personal Records Possibly Exposed in CHC Data Breach
Community Health Center (CHC) is a Connecticut-based nonprofit healthcare provider that offers comprehensive primary care, dental, behavioral health, and specialty services to underserved communities. Due to a data breach, over a million people may have had personal information stolen, after a skilled hacker broke into their IT system. CHC claims that the data breach is not a ransomware attack.
Affected individuals are being helped with free identity theft protection by the institution. The company also set aside a $1M reimbursement policy, and promised to help recover stolen identities. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
