On Friday, September 29, 2023, Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center in Safford, AZ, announced that it is dealing with a “cybersecurity incident.” The attack reportedly affected the hospital’s communication and information systems, and the hospital team is coordinating with law enforcement and other system experts to determine the extent of the hack, including if patient information was compromised.

This is the second major data system in the area dealing with a breach. In August, Freeport-McMoRan, the international mining company based out of Phoenix, AZ, found itself dealing with a “cybersecurity incident” that impacted its payroll systems. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
