Cyber-attack Interrupts Printing of 2 Oregon Newspapers
The Albany Democrat-Herald and the Corvallis Gazette Times, two Oregon newspapers owned by Lee Enterprises, were unable to print their Tuesday and Thursday editions last week until late Saturday night due to a cyber-attack. They even had to print their Saturday paper on Sunday and delivered it on Monday. Lee Enterprises owns dozens of newspapers in 24 states.
In a regulatory filing last week, Lee said it is still evaluating the extent of the damage. The company said that it had notified law enforcement. It is not known if the hackers demanded a ransom. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
