Sunflower Medical Group is a multi-specialty medical practice based out of Kansas that offers primary and urgent care services as well as laboratory exams. Sunflower has revealed the fact that an “unknown third party” illegally accessed the firm’s database, copying customer records including names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and medical and health insurance records. According to Sunflower this cybersecurity incident has exposed the data of 220,968 patients.
