Hackers Demand Owners Sell Teslas to Stop Exposure of Personal Information
As a part of the larger protest against Elon Musk's government policies, protestors have targeted Tesla owners and leaked their personal information and addresses on an interactive map tied to the DOGEQUEST website. Musk condemned the act as 'domestic terrorism,' while activists and officials have called for strong measures against the hackers.
Along with the locations of all Tesla showrooms and charging stations, the website DOGEQUEST also lists the known residences of Department of Government Efficiency staff members in addition to Tesla owners' names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails. This development has resulted in a sharp market value drop for Tesla.
