Hacker Claims Oracle Cloud Breach. 140,000 Businesses May be Affected
A hacker, going by the name rose87168, posted on an online forum to announce the theft of credentials from the Oracle Cloud. Apparently, 6 million records and over 140,000 tenant businesses that are housed on the cloud database across multiple regions and industries are at risk. To increase the scale of the attack, the threat actor has even made an X page, where it is following accounts connected to Oracle to harass the targeted organizations.
According to reports, the threat actor has not only put up this sensitive information for sale online but also seeking help to decrypt the stolen credentials. At the same time, the hacker is making demands for ransom from affected companies.
