Pakistan Launches Successful Hack Against Indian Military
Reports have emerged of a significant cyberattack attributed to the "Pakistan Cyber Force," targeting multiple Indian defense-related entities. The attackers defaced the website of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), displaying images of the Pakistan flag and the Al Khalid tank. They also claimed to have accessed sensitive data, including login credentials, from the Military Engineering Services (MES) and the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA). In response, the AVNL website was taken offline for a comprehensive audit to assess potential damage and ensure system integrity.
This incident underscores the escalating cyber threats faced by defense organizations and the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures. Implementing advanced security defenses, higher levels of situational awareness, and robust network-to-endpoint monitoring are essential to safeguard sensitive information and maintain operational integrity. Proactive defense strategies and visibility are paramount in protecting critical infrastructure against sophisticated cyber threats. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
