$2 Billion Market Cap lost in Hack of Cybersecurity Firm Okta
Okta, the online security services provider for businesses, said someone was able to hack into their support case management system. The hackers were able to see files uploaded by some Okta customers in recent support cases. Okta released a list of suspicious IP addresses and recommended that customers search System Logs for any given suspicious session, user or IP.
More than $2 billion in market cap has been wiped out since the company acknowledged the hack. Okta enables secure access, authentication and automation for businesses, but this time it was the one dealing with stolen credentials. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
