Cook County Health Hack Exposes 1.2M Patient Records

The Cook County Health System in Illinois was recently notified by one of their previous medical transcription vendors that their system was hacked earlier this year.

It is estimated that records for 1.2 million patients were breached. The breached information may have included personal information such as names, dates of birth, addresses, medical information, as well as dates and times of service.

Approximately 2,600 of those breached patient records may also have included Social Security numbers. Read more about this story on our LinkedIn page
